A non-profit organisation is seeking a Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities: The CEO represents the organization which main objective is to promote the use of the organization in line with the national drug policy. The representation includes representing the organization in various committees some of which are the Pharmaceutical Task Group,(PTG) The Department of health Multi Stakeholder Forum, The Industry Task Group (ITG -SAHPRA interface), Health Committee, Busa Social Policy Committee. Acting as the spokesperson of the association for the media. Specific Tasks Acting as company secretary The administration of the Association, including all financial aspects. Arranging regular Exco Meetings Arranging the Annual General Meeting. Organizing workshops of relevance to the membership. Providing a news clipping service. Input into submissions pertaining to government Bills and Regulations Participation in subcommittee meetings Attendance and participation in management committee meetings. Attendance in the sub committee meetings: Biosimilars; Scientific; Trade and IP and the Single Global Development. Involvement in the annual meetings with the WHO, WTO and WIPO. Attendance and input into the WHO Fair Pricing seminars. Interaction with other associations, pharmacy and medical bodies and medical funders. Attending the BUSA sub-committee meetings (HEALTH, SOCPOL, NHI) Ensuring representation on the various BUSA subcommittees Attending the quarterly Multi-Stakeholder Forum meetings of NDOH. Liaison with influencers in respective govt departments Maintaining a WWW presence and a face on social media. Qualifications Minimum qualification s: Preferably a Bachelor’s degree with a foundation in pharmacy, medicine, or related health sciences. A master’s degree in business administration or public health would be an advantage. At least 10 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry especially with generic pharmaceutical manufacturers. Requirements Proven leadership abilities to guide the association, represent its members, and liaise with stakeholders. Legal and Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of healthcare legislation, regulatory policies, and ethical standards pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry.
