Civil Engineer - Mining Infrastructure - - Johannesburg

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with around 3 - 5 years experience to join the Mining Infrastructure Department of a consulting engineering firm's Johannesburg office.

Requirements:

BEng. / BSc. Eng. Civil Engineering or higher qualification
3 - 5 years experience
Above average academic results
Good fundamental understanding and knowledge of soil mechanics
Experience in Civil 3D (preferable)

Duties:

Design of mine infrastructure from concept layouts to detail design
Design of bulk earthworks, terraces, roads etc.
Hydrological runoff calculation and water balance modelling
Water management infrastructure design including dams and canals
Mine waste disposal facilities and tailings facilities
Compilation of reports
Compilation of tender documents, including scope of work, specifications, bills of quantities
Data analysis, processing and interpretation
Site visits and investigations, including geotechnical investigations
