Requirements:

Civil Engineering Degree
Registration or eligible to register as a Candidate/Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
5 - 10 years of professional experience as a civil engineer
1-2 years' experience in the Telecommunications industry
Proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically Inventor and AutoCAD.
Computer literacy in Microsoft OfficeÂ

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive mast conditional assessments to evaluate the structural health and integrity of various installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Utilize advanced techniques and methodologies to assess the integrity of structures, including but not limited to bridges, buildings, towers, and other infrastructure, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Perform asset register assessments to accurately catalog and document structural assets, maintaining a detailed inventory of all relevant information such as condition, maintenance history, and criticality.
Employ data analysis techniques to interpret assessment findings, extracting meaningful insights and trends to support decision-making processes regarding maintenance, repair, and risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate assessment results effectively, providing clear recommendations and action plans to address identified issues and ensure the safety and reliability of structures.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to validate assessment findings, verify asset conditions, and identify any changes or developments that may impact structural integrity.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing assessment results, findings, and recommendations, delivering timely updates to stakeholders and management as necessary.
