Civil Engineer/ Technologist The infrastructure division within Knight Piésold is expanding and currently looking for a dynamic Civil Engineer/ Technologist to join the team in our Cape Town office. Minimum requirements A relevant degree in civil engineering from an accredited University or Technikon (BSC/BENG/ BTECH/ ADV DIP.). 3 years' experience in relevant civil design. Ability to manage and delegate to individuals to attain quality, cost and schedule objectives. Experience with working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Experienced in the use of Civil3D. Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards. Key responsibilities Assist with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule. Develop and maintain the project scope of work documentation and revise as required during the design evolution. Assist in the compilation and delivery of engineering reports and project proposals. Attend project coordination meetings. Prepare and/or review project procedures and design criteria. Perform conceptual and detailed engineering design. Prepare engineering calculations and project and technical specifications. Provide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimates. Participate in and contribute to design reviews. Undertake construction supervision and management dependent upon project demands.
