Civil Structures: Design - Johannesburg
Develop civil construction project specifications and designs according to customer requirements and structural engineering standards
Collaborate with rail infrastructure disciplines, architects, contractors, and other construction professionals to validate design feasibility and ensure alignment with client project needs
Utilize proficient knowledge of CAD software and engineering tools to refine construction project designs, including the creation of 3D models and animations using CAD and BIM software
Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess the viability of new designs and construction techniques
Create and maintain project and contract documentation, encompassing design reports, drawings, and specifications
Ensure construction projects comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, while upholding standards of structural safety, reliability, and sustainability
Work alongside the multi-disciplinary project team to guarantee timely, budget-conscious completion of construction projects, meeting defined quality standards
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost efficiencies, providing recommendations to senior project management team members
Conduct regular project team meetings, offering guidance and support to multi-disciplinary team members
Maintain transparent communication with all project stakeholders, keeping them updated on project progress and any adjustments in planning or milestones

Skills & Experience:
Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
At least 10 years experience, 5 of the 10 years post professional registration (Pr Eng/ Pr Tech Eng) should be in structural engineering analysis and design
Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, candidates should be well-versed in utilizing ACAD, Civil 3D software
Must have MS Office experience
Qualification:
BSc/BEng Degree or BTech (Civil Eng)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
