Client Relations Manager - Cape Town City Centre

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives in alignment with the company's overall goals and targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the banking sector, including but not limited to corporate clients, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to up-sell additional products and services.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market insights to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure adherence to banking standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
  • RE 5 qualified
  • Proven track record of success in business development roles within the insurance, pension or banking financial services industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and market dynamics in South Africa, particularly in Johannesburg.
  • Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software.
