Our Client in the engineering sector has a vacancy a CNC Operator Duties Adjust Tool Offsets Run programs on machines that are setup by more senior level employees. The controls we use are Siemens and Fanuc, the machine we use are 3 axis machining centre, 2 axis lathes (with and without live tooling), vertical lathe / borer. Preliminary set up of jigs and fixtures. Setup work co-ordinate systems Save programs to network. Load and Run programs generated from CAM systems by CAD / CAM Engineers The candidate must be capable of reading machine shop level documents and drawings. We are an ISO9001:2015 rated company, therefore the candidate must be aware that there may be certain tasks that are required to be performed according to very stringent steps and processes and may need to adapt their own ways of from time to time. The candidate must be flexible and understand that he or she WILL be required to operate more than one machine as and when required. The above job specs DO NOT constitute the entire requirement for the position, but provide a detailed outline of tasks, the candidate will be expected to perform other tasks over and above those mentioned above.
