Reference: DBN002547-NO-1 We are currently seeking a Code 10 Driver to join a global leader in the fuel, oil, and gas industry. Based in Markman, Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of orders to clients. Requirements: Matric 3 years driving experience Must have valid driver's licence – Code 10 Valid dangerous goods certificate Valid forklift licence will be an advantage Must have a driving record that is acceptable to the companies and its auto insurance company Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or transfer up to 30 kg Ability to act as a positive adult role model Ability to monitor and direct the work of others, e.g., Driver Assistant. General interpersonal skills Certification in First Aid and CPR will be an added advantage. Effective oral and written communication. Committed to self-improvement Duties and responsibilities: To perform scheduled pick-ups and deliveries as instructed. Ensure that all payload on route is safely loaded and that all measures will be taken to ensure no stock losses occur. To ensure the delivery vehicle is maintained and in proper running order. Always keep the delivery vehicle clean and neat. Complete daily vehicle checks, log sheets and driver health check diligently and correctly. To check and sign that all stock being loaded per delivery is correct and corresponds with the pick ticket and delivery note. Responsible for fuelling the truck and submitting tickets for purchase of such fuel to the supervisor Assist the storeman/ supervisor with inventory as directed Attend and successfully complete all necessary staff orientation and training functions. Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols implemented by the company at all times. Report all incidents immediately to the office and complete an Incident Report form timeously.
