Robert Walters South Africa As a member of the Compliance Function within this dynamic and pioneering international business, the primary objective of this position will be to ensure the company's compliance with UK and US legal and regulatory obligations, while safeguarding its reputation and collaborating closely with all business departments. The role of Compliance Analyst requires a confident, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively with global team members, and ensure successful contributions and fulfilment of responsibilities. Key qualifications and experience required for the Compliance Analyst:Bachelor's degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., law, finance or business)Min. of 2 years generalist experience in compliance within the Alternative Asset Management spaceA specialisation in Fixed Income, or experience working with management or compliance consulting firms is preferableProven track record of exposure to relevant regulations (i.e., MiFID II and AIFMD, US Regulatory regimes)Knowledge of alternative investment businesses and productsSystems knowledge: Power Point, Excel, ClickUp and PowerBI Key duties of the Compliance Analyst:Assist in the implementation of the Firm's global compliance program, including:Conflicts review (e.g., external NDAs)Facilitating and logging wall crosses across the businessManaging systems for maintaining restricted listsUpdating various logs and trackersCollecting and collating data for regulatory filings/reportingConducting third-party diligenceSupport the broader compliance team in day-to-day tasks and requirements, such as:Personal trade reviewTesting and monitoringVarious special project Key personal skills:Integrates well into a team, develops relationships with others even in a remote environment, and communicates excellently both in written and oral formsDemonstrates a "can-do" attitude, takes ownership and accountability for tasksQuick learner who works independently with appropriate oversight, possesses strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail If you are a dynamic Compliance Analyst with a "go-getter" mindset, eager to join a thriving business and make this role your own, we encourage you to get in touch for a discussion about this position.
