Opportunity for experienced Construction Manager with mining industry experience to join a well-established firm in Rustenburg area Minimum requirements: Matric. Trade Artisan (Relevant) section 26d with module/ section 13 Must be medically fit. 5 Years or more relevant job experience. Construction and heavy fabrication awareness (project size dependent). Familiar with all portable tools. Be able to motivate the team. Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Primary component supply and capabilities are Structural Steel Manufacturing. Platework Fabrication. Mechanical Support Fabrication. Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping Fabrication. Pipe and Fitting Fabrication, Mild/Carbon/Stainless Steel. Hardwearing Plates. HDPE Piping & Fittings. SMPP Turnkey Project work including civils. Green & Brownfields Work. Furnace Steelwork, fabrication and Installation. (fabrication and installation) Fibre and Galvanised Grating. Corrosion Protection to customer specifications. Duties will include but is not limited to: Ensure project management. Oversight on Client project plans and project risk management. Planning and Organizing Organises, prioritises, and schedules tasks so they can be performed within budget and with the efficient use of time and resources. Achieves goals in a timely manner, despite obstacles encountered, by organising reprioritising and re-planning. Negotiation skills Understand and can apply basic negotiating skills and techniques. Kept sites compliant with Occupational Health and Safety- and Mine Health and Safety Acts, National and local regulations to prevent unnecessary delays. Conduct critical pre-installation meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, consultants and manufacturer's representatives. Schedule utility service providers according to project timelines. Lead daily and weekly production and operations contractor meetings, facilitating. stronger communication and helping to resolve critical issues. Conduct routine quality audits to verify progression against specifications and initiated corrective actions to remedy concerns. Provide safety kits to all construction personnel, fully complying with job site safety protocols. Implement systems to improve process efficiency and reduce project duration. Monitor supply levels and identify cost-effective materials to reduce project expenses. Oversee entire building turnover process, enhancing communication between all construction engagement to facilitate smooth completion. Avoid construction delays by efficiently following through with all site inspections. Promote adherence to safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper handling and operation of materials and equipment. Maintain zero site accidents and lost time injuries. Improve cost control through effective allocation of subcontractors and service Reaching monthly HSE targets. Reaching monthly production targets.
