For most of the our client's employees it is business as usual, though it be working remotely, your regular contact is a phone call away or contact us via our website – The construction manager is fully responsible for the management of the construction portion of a project and report to the project manager. He will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects. (Mechanical and piping, Civil and structural, Electrical and instrumentation) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination of construction activities and manage construction team and sub-contractors. Compile of construction method statement. Compile construction execution plan. Assist planner to compile construction schedule. Develop and implement objectives and responsibilities of construction team members. •Ensure compliance to OHS Act and construction regulations. Manage construction safety as per OHS Act section 8.1. Perform Risk assessments/ Risk management. Facilitate constructability review and give input to engineering. Manage and ensure compliance to quality requirements during fabrication and construction. Ensure construction progress is effectively monitored or measured and reported. Manage the handover of the plant for completion of construction, punch lists and rectification of defects in cooperation with the client and ensure compliance. REQUIREMENTS: Tertiary construction management or a relevant engineering qualification with at least 5 years' construction experience is preferred. Alternatively, candidates with a recognized trade with at least 10 years' Petrochemical experience. SACPCMP registration as a Construction Manager will be an advantage. Supervisory Management diploma would be an advantage. Must be very conversant with reading and interpreting of piping ISO's, P&ID's, MFD's and associated mechanical GA drawings, electrical drawings and instrumentation loop drawings. Good understanding of QCP's, welding and quality procedures. Valid drivers' license (Code B/EB). Market related
