Company based in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking a highly motivated Consultant Engineer to join our team. As a consultant, you will be responsible for Engineering deliverables and managing technical and non-technical aspects projects. In addition to providing consulting services, this role will also involve practical engineering work, such as design, testing, and analysis. You will be responsible for presenting Proof of Concepts, Project Proposals, and Project Estimates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, you will work with the Sales, Operations, and Consulting teams to ensure clients receive consistent and cohesive information around our solutions. After developing a proposal, you will also be responsible for implementing the solution and working with the client throughout the process. Key Responsibilities: Defining Engineering, design, and manufacturing problems. Solving Engineering, design, and manufacturing problems. Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Job Requirements: A higher-level qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or another relevant technical field, or suitable previous experience. Proven track record in Manufacturing, Design, Simulation, or Product Data Management. Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD. Result-oriented with the ability to solve complicated problems and define goals and objectives for assigned projects. A pragmatic approach to building relationships with customers by simplifying complex topics and emphasizing the business value of technical solutions. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with good listening skills. Accountability for goals and objectives, identifying and communicating potential issues, and managing urgency while meeting committed time frames.
