The ideal candidate will have a degree in Journalism, English or Copywriting and a proven track record writing SEO-optimised blog posts and thought leadership pieces for B2B, financial services or fintech brands. You will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy for various mediums, including website content, newsletters, knowledge-base articles, social media, email marketing, and more. The role will also involve working with the content specialist and SEO specialist to create and implement content strategies, conduct keyword research, and proofread and edit content written with AI, or by external writers to ensure they are factually correct and have a consistent brand tone of voice. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: - Be a highly proactive member of the brand team and support the marketing team in defining, creating, and evolving the Lula brand. - Write and edit copy for various mediums, ensuring it is clear, concise, and engaging. - Collaborate with our marketing team to develop messaging strategies and ensure consistency across all channels. - Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into our messaging. - Copy-check content, both your own and any copy/content supplied by another team member/contributor, to ensure it's fault-free at all times and in line with our brand tone of voice. - Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives. - Continuously search for innovative ideas that empower SMEs to succeed. - Build a deep understanding of our most important customer segments, know how to reach them, the messages that will resonate with them and how they like to be spoken to. THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Matric/Grade 12 achieved - A degree in journalism, copywriting, English or related field. - 4 years of working experience and an up-to-date portfolio of work. - Experience in Keyword Research and SEO Copywriting. - Experience in developing content strategies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work in a team and independently. - Experience with WordPress, and AI writing tools like Agility Writer.
