The position of CIP Manager is based in Port Elizabeth. and offers exciting areas or responsibility, plenty of room for movement and diverse development opportunities. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Senior Director (Managing) performance areas include, but are not limited to: Drive Continuous Improvement to quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality and service across both the Port Elizabeth and Rosslyn sites. Train and educate the organisation and implement continuous improvement methodologies. Provide strategic leadership and tactical planning to ensure Continuous Improvement strategies are implemented and maintained within the company. Lay the foundation for standardised work operations. Engage all levels of management in the PDCA process. Adopt lean tools, lean systems, lean behaviours and lean thinking that will lead and support improving business results. Be responsible for identifying OEE opportunities including tracking downtime results, improving data integrity and developing improvement plans based on the data. Driving shop floor Continuous Improvement through employee empowerment. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Matric essential. Bachelor's degree in Operations/Engineering field, essential. Six Sigma proven experience with sound technical knowledge, essential. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the automotive manufacturing environment. IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES Must possess an ownership mentality and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks through to completion. Attention to detail, goal orientated and a desire to achieve your objectives. Highly organised, good at multi-tasking and able to deal with people at all levels. Analytical with high level of technical insight and experience. Above average in Microsoft Excel Advanced level. Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of world class change management. Proven leadership skills and business acumen – performance driven. Must have technical knowledge or the ability to absorb technical knowledge. Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history. Valid unendorsed Driver’s License, with own vehicle (preferred). Location: Port Elizabeth Profile: Engineering and Technical Career Level: 5 years. Employment: Permanent, full-time E.E. / Non-EE: Preference will be given to EE candidates in alignment with the national EAP. Remuneration: Market related basic 50% Medical Aid, 13th Cheque and Provident Fund.
