CONTRACTS ENGINEER
Bellville
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a BEng or BSc Degree
Project Management background will be advantageous.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of three (3) years in an Engineering and Design environment and/or a minimum of three (3) years of engineering project experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define project objectives and goals on receipt of a contract.
Prepare, monitor and update project programmes on a regular basis
Meet with customers to discuss project progress
Maintain excellent working relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met
Liaise, as required, with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees
Monitor actual costs against budget costs and identify focus areas
Prepare compensation events in relation to impacts from the customer or others
Evaluate and report on contract performance monthly
Ensure that contract documents are accurate, well maintained and correctly stored
Generate customer reports and invoicing
SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Possess superior organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Have strong computer skills and knowledge of programs such MS Word, MS Excel and MS Projects
Have strong attention to detail
Be prepared to travel locally and internationally
Be comfortable working as part of a team or alone. ➢
