TURNER - Boring Mill Turner Area : Rosslynn Gauteng - POSITION : Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required Reads and interprets drawings and make necessary mathematical calculations Examine work piece for defects Directs crane operator to put work piece on the machine table Sets up job and secure work piece to the table using clamps, shims, parallel block etc. Select correct feeds and speeds Operates and tend machine to perform machining operations Work to close tolerances Verifies conformance of machined parts using measuring instruments to drawing specs Filling in of all documentation as required (check sheets, time sheets, trial packs etc.) Regrind and sharpen tools as needed Maintain machine tooling in orderly fashion and request for new tooling as needed Keeps machine and surrounding area clean, performs housekeeping assignments as required Obeys all safety rules and other duties deemed to be that of a Horizontal and Vertical Boring Mill Operator Own transport or public transport Must reside in and around Pretoria Must be able to work shifts Minimum Education & Experience required Matrix or equivalent Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in medium manufacturing industry.
