Reference: JHB007238-JO-1National Plant and Equipment Hire company based in Midrand has an opening for a Credit Controller (EE). Be responsible for the debtors book and ensure that credit is being granted to credit-worthy customers. Ensure credit terms are being kept and debtors ageing is a true reflection of what the customers owe at all times. Position would ideally suit an EE female. A candidate with a completed Matric, as well as a 3 year National Diploma i Financial Management / Accounting ideal, coupled with 3 years solid debtors experience within a similar industry. KPI's include:Management of a book value of R38m with approximately 380 accounts; Ensure invoices and statements are distributed to customers monthly;Process short payments;Provide input into debt collection strategies and assist with debtors reconciliations;Ensure accounts are timeously handed over to collection agencies and all information is provided;Manage the pre-legal and legal processes for collections;Prepare credit limit approval based on customer payment history and knowledge;Review and recommend changes / options to customer profiles in order to maintain high recoverability of debt;Apply SOP's and enforce adherence thereto;Initiate letters of demand to customers;Perform reconciliations of debtors accounts;Customer service and communicate with outstanding debtors;Ability to analyse debtors statements in terms of ageing and prepare management reports;Prepare requests for the reversal of invoices;Follow-up on all down-payments to ensure timely payments;Allocate customer receipts accurately;Follow-up on unallocated debtors receipts; Open new customer files;Ensure all payments received in advance are allocated correctly;Prepare credit limit increase requests with correct supporting documents;Maintenance of earmarked customer files; andEnsure all documents and paperwork are maintained to comply with the Companies Act. 277000K pa - 300000K pa
