Process and underwrite new business / re-advance applications, Partner New and Pre-approved applications, SME funding applications, and EFT applications Full credit assessment of applicants Complete credit and reference checks Achieve performance targets and maintain performance standards Meet internal SLAs stipulated per product Manage accuracy, completeness, and turn-around times for deals Underwrite / finalize deals Prepare documentation to be used in Risk and Decline Appeal meetings 3 - 5 years of underwriting and analysis experience Credit risk and / or credit underwriting experience in the financial services sector Matric Advanced Certificates / Diploma: Business / Finance / Accounting Strong computer / CRM system skills (essential) Advanced Excel Able to work under pressure, in a fast -paced environment Adapt well to change Experience applying credit risk to inform decision-making Exceptional organizational and analytical skills Attention to detail Able to achieve performance targets and maintain performance standards High level understanding of credit risk underwriting Able analyse bank statement data Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks Able to make recommendations based on analysis of application data Able to follow SOPS and ensure consistent decision-making Able to summarize findings concisely and clearly Able to multitask and work under pressure
