As an Experienced CT/MRI Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in CT and MRI procedures, contributing to the accurate and timely diagnosis of various medical conditions. Package Offered Employment type: Permanent Salary: £31000 - £38500 (R736,285.76 - R914,352.76) Per Annum. Supportive work environment with a focus on employee well-being and work-life balance Requirements: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography Registered with HPCSA or equivalent regulatory body. Clear police clearance Valid drivers license Flexibility to operate across multiple sites if required. Evidence of work experience/clinical experience (min of 3 years) Individuals who have experience in MRI and CT or both Responsibilities: Patient Care: Ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients undergoing CT and MRI scans. This involves explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing any concerns the patient may have. Imaging Procedures: Performing CT and MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders. This includes positioning patients correctly, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring high-quality images are obtained. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operating and maintaining CT and MRI equipment, including performing routine maintenance checks, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise. Radiation Safety: Ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and themselves. This includes using lead aprons, collimators, and other protective measures as necessary. Image Analysis and Interpretation: Reviewing and analysing CT and MRI images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards. Radiographers may also assist radiologists in interpreting images and identifying any abnormalities or pathology. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate patient records, including imaging protocols, scan parameters, and any relevant patient information. This documentation is essential for proper patient care and legal purposes. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists, physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow within the radiology department. Continuing Education: Staying up to date with advances in CT and MRI technology, imaging techniques, and safety protocols through continuing education and professional development activities. Quality Assurance: Participating in quality assurance programs to monitor and improve the quality of imaging services provided. This may involve conducting quality control tests, evaluating imaging protocols, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Patient Education: Educating patients about the imaging process, preparation instructions, and any potential risks or side effects associated with CT and MRI scans. Adherence to Regulatory Standards: Adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines set forth by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Be aware of and able to implement the principles of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children.
