Reference: ITE005751-MSc-1As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analysing and adapting software applications within the Secure Software Development (SGD) environment to meet evolving cyber security standards and client expectations. You will be responsible for implementing solutions at both the OS and application levels to mitigate threats, ensuring the integrity and security of our systems. Key Responsibilities: Write and review cyber security documentation to ensure compliance with standards and client requirements. Implement solutions on the OS and application level for the mitigation of threats, including OS hardening measures. Verify and validate software functionality to identify and address potential vulnerabilities. Monitor and evaluate software vulnerabilities, particularly those related to third-party software components. Ideal candidate profile:We are seeking a professional with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a solid work ethic and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have a background in software development and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles.Required Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ software development. Experience in defence cyber security environments. Knowledge of DevSecOps (Secure Dev Ops) practices. Minimum of 5 years of software development experience. Proficiency in Linux, preferably at the SysAdmin level. Experience in a military environment is advantageous. Competencies: Familiarity with CI/CD/DevOps and automation tools. Knowledge of RTCA standards. Experience with embedded operating systems. Understanding of DevSecOps practices.
