We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Debtors Controller with experience in the hygiene and cleaning industry to join our team. The Debtors Controller will be responsible for managing and reconciling customer accounts, overseeing debt collection processes, and ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices in the hygiene and cleaning sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitor and analyze customer accounts to identify overdue payments and outstanding invoices. 2. Contact customers to follow up on outstanding debts and negotiate payment terms. 3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications with customers regarding outstanding debts. 4. Collaborate with the sales team to resolve customer disputes and address any billing errors or discrepancies. 5. Prepare and send out regular statements and reminders to customers regarding overdue payments. 6. Participate in monthly financial reporting meetings to review outstanding debts and discuss strategies for debt collection. 7. Develop and implement effective debt collection policies and procedures to improve the company's cash flow and minimize bad debt risk. 8. Work closely with the finance department to reconcile customer accounts and provide accurate financial reports. 9. Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to debt collection in the hygiene and cleaning sector. 10. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with professionalism and discretion. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, or a related role in the hygiene and cleaning industry. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Knowledge of industry regulations related to debt collection and financial reporting.
