Deman Planner The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand, planning inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and optimizing inventory turnover. The Supply and Demand Planner will play a critical role in coordinating with various departments to develop accurate forecasts, manage inventory levels and identify opportunities for improvement within the supply chain. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather relevant information and incorporate it into demand forecasts Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, and other factors to anticipate changes in demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly Create and maintain inventory replenishment plans to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts Monitor inventory levels and work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components Identify and resolve supply chain issues, such as production delays, transportation disruptions, or supplier shortages, to minimize impact on operations Utilize inventory management software and other tools to track inventory levels, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for management review Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce lead times Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact demand or supply chain operations Continuously evaluate and refine supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction Requirements: Completed Matric Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Admin or related – essential 5 years experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting or inventory management preferably in a Manufacturing environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Proficient with inventory management software, ERP systems and MS Excel Detail-orientated with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies – highly beneficial Must be able to work independently and be responsible enough to work without supervision Must be a Self-Starter with a highly organized mind Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables The Position : We're looking for a skilled Supply & Demand Planner to be office based in Woodstock, Cape Town. The pay range on offer is R55 000.00 to R60 000.00 (Negotiable) Package Per Month. Apply Now
