Our client delivers innovative agricultural, commercial, and industrial renewable energy solutions. They are based in Howick, but work is carried out Nationally and the team is growing They are looking for a design engineer to join the team, and due to the new nature of the industry, a graduate with passion and ambition in the renewable energy field would be considered. A University (NOT TECH) graduate is required and electrical, mechatronic or mechanical engineering degree would be best suited to this company and their services that they provide. Technical design of Solar PV Installations Initial Site Visits to gather information for projects Assessing and interpreting monitoring data Client communication before and during project installations Project Management Communication with Installation and Technical Teams Project documentation ensuring all the design documents and checklists etc are kept up to date and filed correctly Liaising with suppliers to find suitable components Sales Initial visits with clients, putting together and sending out project quotes, and answering client's questions about the design and project Additional Responsibilities Dealing with client who are the funders for renewable energy projects Quarterly Environmental and Social Management reporting Gathering relevant documentation from clients to validate projects Ensuring all project documentation is gathered and present for the project to be validated, including managing the application for foreign exchange loans Developing and streamlining SOPs (chair), structures, and processes within the company Marketing committee Employment Equity committee Design wise SketchUp for CAD for e.g. the panel layouts, and Sunny Design sometimes on the PV side. Some experience or training with some kind of CAD software would be beneficial. Management team member Must have a degree in electrical, mechatronic or mechanical egineering - BSc not Btech Able to live in or close Howick in KZN Drivers License essential Passion for learinging and growing in Renewable energy field essential Exposure to design work Good entry level salary
