Our client, an Engineering Company with a global presence in the Land, Sea, Air, and Cyber domains since 1981, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team of dedicated professionals. As technology continues to evolve, UAV operations are becoming increasingly vital across various industries. Area: Airport City (Cape Town) Closing date : End January 2024 Salary: Market related- Depending on experience REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Development/Deployments/IT-focused roles. In-depth knowledge of the SDLC and software product management. Proficiency in Linux, scripting, and languages such as C++, GIT, Python, and Windows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Enhance existing systems to identify and close DevOps gaps. Design and implement DevOps solutions. Architect DevOps solutions and oversee their implementation. Maintain the company's Tech Radar and DevOps roadmap. Design and implement solutions using approved patterns and multi-tier architectures. Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure timely software and system deployment. Manage server and network virtualization. Provide infrastructure diagrams and execute procedural changes. Resolve high-level hardware and software technical issues related to the network. REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in software-driven radios, including functionality, configuration, and tests. Strong understanding of system design, development, and implementation. Experience in system testing and debugging. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively. Broad IT network knowledge, including routers, Wi-Fi access points, switches, LAN cabling, voice gateways, protocols, and network management systems.
