A very cool role is available at a business that focuses on data from the world of online gaming. This role is a comnination of SQL Developer and Data Engineer - you need to have proven full stack SQL experience but also the ability to build data pipelines, you need Azure DevOps experience as well. You will design and develop robust data frameworks and create data services that deliver actionable insights to their global customer base. Relevant IT degree 5 years proven experience in the role of SQL Developer, with exposure to Data Engineering Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with relevant tools e.g. Azure DevOps for CI/CD, automation, GIT and infrastructure management Solid experience and understanding of relational databases, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and the features available within SQL Server, proficiency using SQL Server in a highly transactional environment Advanced knowledge and understanding of TSQL, query plans and the RDBMS Engine which enables you to identify and resolve complex performance and concurrency issues Ability to model data given requirements and is able to give recommendations on how systems can be designed to allow for future development R85k to R95k pm
