Are you a skilled Truck Diesel Mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client is seeking a qualified individual to join our team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. Working hours: 07:15 to 17:00 - There is a standard rotation for Saturday mornings with the team where staff on duty must be in the workshop. Conduct breakdown repairs, services, and maintenance on truck s and bakkies at various sites across the Western Cape, as well as in the main workshop Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs promptly to minimise downtime Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained Be available for field service and breakdowns, including extended hours as needed Uphold high standards of quality in all work performed Always adhere to safe work practices Handle administrative duties related to the job Matric certificate Relevant trade test (e.g., Red Seal in Diesel Mechanic/Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) Minimum of 5 years' experience in a busy workshop environment Specific technical knowledge and skills related to trucks and “bakkies” Knowledge of yellow plant, (beneficial trucks, small plant, and bakkies) Valid driver's license (essential) Skills and Attributes: Technical proficiency in diagnosing and repairing trucks and bakkies. Detail-oriented approach to inspections and repairs. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Effective time management skills. Excellent communication skills. Dedication to providing excellent customer service. Willingness to learn. Salary: R28 000 – R38 000 CTC including Medical Aid Allowance Provident Fund
