Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Civil Industry Location: Cape Town, South Africa Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our client's team in the civil industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment used in construction projects. As a Diesel Mechanic in the Civil/Construction industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction machinery and vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered construction equipment and vehicles Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner Replace faulty parts as needed Ensure efficient operation of machinery and vehicles to minimize downtime Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations Requirements: N4 certificate or similar/relevant qualification as a Diesel Mechanic Trade Test: Diesel Mechanic is necessary Minimum of 5 years' experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the civil/construction industry would be advantageous Hydraulic and pneumatic experience Knowledge on health and safety processes and policies Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Experience in maintaining Paver, ATV, Milling Machine and Rollers would be advantageous Code 10 or 14 driver's license Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa also disadvantageous) Contact Hire Resolve for you next career-changing move.
