Digital Solutions Manager - Water Utilities - West Africa - - Johannesburg

Minimum requirements for the role:

The successful candidate must be based in Africa ideally in West Africa.
Previous experience having worked in an engineering environment is essential for the role.
A BSc or diploma in either engineering or science or related is required for this role.
An electrical (light current), electronics or digital systems or instrumentation discipline is preferred.
Previous experience having worked as an engineer in a digital technologies and solutions environment, preferably in the industrial or plant monitoring and control environments is essential.
Previous experience working within a project environment covering all aspects of project management is pref.
The candidate should have design and field experience in digital communication systems and industrial networks i.e. PROFINET/PROFIBUS, MODBUS/MODTCP, ether IP, and industrial ethernet.
Full command of French and English languages written, spoken and capable of handling formal and technical communications.
Arabic will be advantageous.
Must have design and field experience in industrial control systems - PLC/DCS, SCADA, industrial data historians and process flow metering instrumentation and process control (water/wastewater treatment will be advantageous)
Must understand CAD design/technical drawings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Leading and driving the digital solutions transformation strategy project in Africa.
Taking ownership of all initiatives and projects concerning digital solutions.
Leading solution project execution (from order to acceptance) and coordinating with all stockholders to ensure project success.
Providing digital solutions product support (technical and commercial) to internal and external customers.
Working with the sales team to provide architecture design (M&C and DIS), proposal development and support (direct and facilitation from the growth centre).
Driving project management of business projects for digital solutions.
Providing engineering support to business projects where the scope includes connected products.
Providing field support, (diagnosis and solution implementation) to customers.
Establishing the position as the primary interface between the commercial team and the respective growth centres and global product managers for digital solutions.
