Direct Procurement Manager - Jacobs
Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing procurement team. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and supplier reliability. Continuously evaluate and refine the procurement strategy to align with business goals. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, both locally and internationally. Evaluate supplier performance and make data-driven decisions to ensure the best suppliers are selected and retained. Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors. Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate effectively to achieve favorable terms for the company. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies. Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and strategies to achieve cost saving targets without compromising product quality or supplier relationships. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost of the product sold (COGS). Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, industry dynamics, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic partnerships. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to ensure a seamless supply chain and product delivery process. Strategic Sourcing: Utilize strategic sourcing methodoligies to identify, evaluate and select suppliers that align with the company`s strategic goals MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Degree – Engineering / Supply Chain / Procurement Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record for problem solving and successful project delivery. Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must have very good SAP knowledge and skills.
