Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for the hospitality industry? Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Director of Finance to join a luxury hotel based in Cape Town. About the Role: As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel's operations. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Additionally, you will manage the finance team and collaborate with other departments to drive financial performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hotel's goals and objectives Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget and forecast Prepare financial reports and present findings to the executive team and stakeholders Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support as needed Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CA qualification required Minimum of 5 years of finance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry Proven track record of financial leadership and strategic planning Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite Salary on offer is in the higher package range, to be discussed with interested candidates.
