Hire Resolves client in the Household Product Manufacturing Industry is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As the Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient distribution of household products and ensuring the smooth operation of the distribution network. Responsibilities: Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain adequate stock Manage transportation and logistics to maximize cost-effectiveness and minimize delivery lead times Implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity during transportation Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of distribution facilities and equipment Lead and develop a team of distribution staff, providing guidance and support Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement We are looking for a results-driven individual with strong leadership and communication skills. Requirements Tertiary Qualification Degree/Diploma in logistics Minimum 10 - 15 years distribution and warehousing experience in a FMCG environment within a large distribution centre environment - essential Minimum 5 years experience in a management position (managing a workforce of more than 50) Minimum 5 years WMS experience is essential ERP systems knowledge and experience with JDE preferable Proven experience in distribution management, preferably in the household products industry In-depth knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and transportation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Proficient in using distribution management software and MS Office Suite Ability to lead and motivate a team Exceptional attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Benefits Salary: negotiable.
