Job Summary: We are looking for a socially focused, detail orientated team player who can operate ate a deliberate pace with set routines to man the Hotel front entrance and oversee the forecourt. Organisational Positioning: Department: Front Office Reporting to: Concierge Location: The Twelve Apostles Hotel Premises Minimum Experience or Qualification: Grade 12 Drivers Licence (compulsory) and Professional Driving Permit Highly presentable Good command of the English language with confident verbal communication skills Knowledgeable of Cape Town and its attractions advantageous Physically fit to stand for hours and from time to time do heavy lifting Must be able to work outdoors despite poor weather conditions Must be able to work flexible hours including late shifts, week-ends and public holidays Key Performance Objectives: To ensure that door is manned at all times during shift; ensuring that guests never have to open doors themselves. To ensure the forecourt is properly managed ensure free flow of vehicles and a constant awareness of Motor Coach and Hotel vehicle and shuttle movements. To ensure that forecourt and upper parking areas are clean and tidy at all times. To offer all guests to park their vehicles. To escort guests from their vehicles to the lift / front desk. To open and close vehicle doors for guest entering or leaving a vehicle. Attend to any reasonable requests from guests and always be aware of happening in and around the Hotel. Assist to cover the shuttle service to the V&A and Camps Bay.
