Double Backer Operator As a Double Backer Operator, you'll play a pivotal role in our production process. Responsibilities will include: Safely and efficiently operating the double backer machine while adhering to high standards and procedures. Collaborating effectively with your team to ensure seamless communication and workflow. Monitoring and adjusting machine settings to optimize speed and achieve production targets. Maintaining moisture levels to ensure the quality of the final product. Taking proactive measures to prevent paper breaks and minimize downtime, ensuring continuous production flow. Ensuring the proper positioning and functionality of the glue unit. Embracing the principles of 5S for a well-organized and efficient workspace. Skills and experience Proficiency in spoken and written English, enabling effective communication with team members. Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. A proactive and punctual attitude, well-suited for a dynamic production environment. Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and adaptable hours as required. Over five years of hands-on experience in the corrugated industry, demonstrating your deep expertise. A Matric Certificate and a formal qualification or R.P.L trade test certified by FP&M SETA for the corrugated industry.
