A vacancy for a Design Draughtperson exists in Bellville. The candidate will report to the Design Office Manager in the Packaged Boiler business unit. Carrying out calculations, site visits, measuring, plotting, preparing and performing layout and detail drawings using as a basis existing projects and sketches or other information received from the Engineering department Checking and draughting of design details using primarily Inventor 3D modelling Completion of assigned tasks accurately and within the given timeframe Liaison with Engineering, Sales, Contracts department, Field Services and Manufacturing and Spares Implementation and maintenance of JT draughting and engineering standards Qualification National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Draughting certificate or equivalent with 5 years of experience in a design and manufacturing environment Experience and Skills Have an above average academic record and good understanding of Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics Proficient in 3D modelling • Proficiency in Autodesk Vault and Plant 3D is advantageous Minimum 5 years of working experience in mechanical draughting Minimum 5 years of working experience using a 3D draughting package e.g., Inventor and Solid Works Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and Teams Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English Market Related
