A Steel fabricator company based in Cape Town is looking for a Draughtsman / Design Engineer to join their team. Requirements: 3-5 years draughtsman experience using Sheet-Metal design in SolidWorks. 3-5 years’ experience in or knowledge of the sheet metal fabrication environment. SolidWorks Certificates advantageous. ND Mechanical Engineering advantageous Job Description: Complete 3D design of sheet metal parts and assemblies Preparation of detailed manufacturing drawings Liaising with internal & external clients Daily reporting Must be proficient in Solidworks (Producing parts / Drawing / dxf’s / assemblies / bill of materials) Be proficient in sheet metal design. Must understand Sheetmetal processing & Fabrication. Have a fair knowledge base of steels / metals and plastics, their properties and where and when to implement them.
