We are looking for an organized & pro-active Electrical or Electronic Engineer with exceptional technical and leadership skills –- and at least 5 years of experience as an EC&I Engineer in Turnkey Waste, Water or Energy Projects - to take on the key role at the Company of EC&I ENGINEER. The position will report to the GM Engineering – and will be tasked with utilising technical and team work skills to liaise with different disciplines in turning process and project requirements into Electrical, Control system and Instrumentation design parameters for the Company's various Water, Waste and Energy projects The candidate will fit in best with the company culture if they value honesty, integrity, reliability, and can interact, communicate with, and share knowledge with colleagues at all levels , whilst treating them with the utmost respect and professionalism. SUMMARY OF ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and strengthen the company's EC&I Engineering portfolio through implementation of Company Technologies, industry best practices and tools. Provide EC&I Engineering inputs into tendering, including cost estimation for Water, Waste and Energy projects. Initiate, prepare, supervise & approve the Basic and Detailed EC&I Engineering designs Liaise with and manage the subcontractors and fabrication/construction functions to execute capital projects in the Water, Waste and Energy fields Assist with the Procurement function during project execution Assist with preparation of P & ID's and design documentation including plant layout design Assist with the specification of PLC, SCADA and Human Machine Interfaces during project execution phase Review, approval and sign off of EC&I design as generated by design subcontractors Hot and cold commissioning assistance, including coordination of EC&I pre-commissioning activities Provide project-specific input to Project Manager to resolve construction issues during site work Perform all duties to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCE: Degree or Diploma in electrical or electronic engineering. ECSA Registration as PrEng advantageous Min 5years of experience as an EC&I Engineer in water treatment, turnkey projects or a similar field Computer literacy in the Google Workspace tools (i.e. google Docs & Sheets) and experience with Cloud Computing, such as Docusign Must have excellent Leadership, communication and organisational skills Market Related Apply Now
