Our Client is looking for an Electrical Draughtsman Job purpose: Compile diagrams, drawings and documents for the manufacturing and installation of electrical instrumentation and fire detection systems. Requirements Minimum education Matric Draughting Certificate/Diploma Electrical/Instrumentation Trade ASIB Competency certificate SAQCC Certification Minimum applicable experience (years): 5 Years Required nature of experience: Civil / Structural 3D Modeling Mining/Manufacturing/Industrial Plants Environment Fire suppression Systems Electrical Instrumentation Skills and Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor Visio Knowledge of Fire protection systems Key Performance Areas: Create accurate, readable technical drawings as per designs Compile drawing project plan, naming conventions and number generation Generate 3D parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies Generate detail drawings (project planning; parts; subassemblies; assemblies; revisions and redesigns) Ensure conversions of different file formats to complete drawings Implement revisions and redesigns on all relevant drawings Create, import and ensure that correct templates are used at all times (Internal/External) Ensure that a fast and accurate bill of materials is generated Ensure accurate dimensioning and detailing of drawings Attend site visits as and when required for: Site establishment for 3D modelling To verify discrepancies on existing drawings Red lining issue for construction for as build’s Assist internal departments as and when required (marketing; production; manufacturing; R&D) Ensure adherence to drawing standards at all times Review bill of materials against the design and make sure it is correct Ensure that correct templates are used (Internal/External) Ensure drawings are checked by lead draughtsman Ensure approval and sign off of drawing after drawing completion Acquire technical data from engineers; clients; suppliers as and when required Attend Operations/Kick Off meetings as and when required Communicate with Operations (Internal/External); Engineering and buyers about correct engineering specifications Advise clients on drawing standards Consult and co-ordinate with engineers and internal departments on designs; layouts; details Provide on the job training on an ongoing basis Ensure constant communication to all clients (Internal/External) regarding: outstanding information required to complete drawings submission of drawings Complete timesheets on a daily basis Ensure and maintain proper administration processes for both hard and soft copies (Filing; scanning; printing) Ensure and maintain high level drawing office practices at all times Employment Details Employment Type: Contractor Industry: Technology Companies Work space preference: Work Onsite Ideal work province: Gauteng Ideal work city: Pretoria Salary bracket: R 34000 - 40000 Drivers License: CODE B (Car) Own car needed: Yes
