Responsibilities;
Manage and improve plant safety by ensuring compliance to legislation
Assessment of risk involved in conducting various jobs and activities. In particular, planning and communicating jobs which entail work on high risk areas (high pressure super heated steam, sulphuric acid, anhydrous ammonia, chlorine gas, phosphoric acid, nitric acid)
Ensure accurate drawings and documentation are updated with all projects and modifications
Conduct HAZOP study & participate in HACCP study
Interfacing of projects/modifications with production
Manage change and modifications
Lead project/modification commissioning when required
Ensure plant personnel is trained to operate new process/equipment and that SOPs are provided
Comply with ModProp process
Identify recurring troublesome equipment/problems and propose and implement alterations/modifications where agreed.
Assist maintenance to resolve breakdowns timeously
Requirements:
Btech / B.Eng. (Electrical) + Government Certificate of Competency
Min 2 years FMCG maintenance engineering experience covering all engineering disciplines Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Civil
Knowledge of OHS Act, Hazardous Chemicals, National Environmental Legislation
Expert knowledge of all major plant equipment
