Electrical Project Lead - Cape Town Region
Our client, a leading subcontractor to the construction sector, with multiple branches, seeks to employ an Electrical Project Engineer/Lead to take over operations and project management across the Cape region Please note that this role does require candidates to have experience in Electrical Construction and as such, HSE is as essential as a professional ethical standard KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION You will have completed a degree in Electrical engineering, coupled with a minimum of 5 years experience in the electrical, construction or engineering, specifically in a tender and projects environment – a Project Management qualification is advantageous You will have a sound understanding of managing tender pricing, managing contracts, providing leadership in project/operational planning, SANS10142 and material control. You will have a natural leadership style to motivate various teams across multiple branches, as well as being able to identify training requirements and managing IR related matters that may arise. Proven technical aptitude and expert problem solving and organisational abilities will be essential. Expert software skills in MS Projects is essential as well as experience with CCS and Buildsmart You must have experience in dealing with BCEA, LRA, Code of Good Practice, EEA, have a working knowledge of Project Documentation, and a working knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, contracts etc – knowledge of Operations Sequence and Technical Testing are non-negotiable You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record Please note that should you not be currently resident in the region and area advertised but still wish to apply, the cost of travel for interviews and relocation will be for your expense.
