Electrician responsibilities include: Installing safety and distribution components. Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Inspections, replacing old wiring, and performing maintenance tasks to prevent system breakdowns and maximize electrical usability. Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment to provide electricity for various purposes. Execute jobs allocated via job cards during shutdown Desired Skills: Electrical installation work Electrical Testing Electrical Wiring Electrical Trade Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Electrical & Electronic Equipment Installation / Repair Desired Qualification Level: Grade 12 / Matric About The Employer: Our client based in Cape Town is looking to acquire an experienced Electrician in one of their sites which is based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. Successful candidate should possesses the following skills and experience: - Grade 12 - 3 years' experience as an Electrician - Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. - Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. - Trade Test completed.
