My client based in Centurion, seeks to employ an Electronic Design Engineer to design electronic boards for their products to meet form, fit and function while maintaining manufacturability and minimising costs. ●Design simple yet effective and innovative solutions for complex problems ●Design electronic circuit boards and systems for products and test equipment using CAD ●Create embedded software for ●Collaborate with the engineering team and quality management to ensure designs are feasible and meet the required standards set by customers ●Test and verify that all designs work according to defined specifications ●Select the optimal components and manufacturing processes ●Ensure that all outputs in terms of BOM's, drawings, Gerber files etc. are correctly produced to the standards determined by the company ●Follow all procedures and processes as required by the quality management system ●Facilitate the certification of designs where necessary ●Collaborate closely with the engineering team on aesthetics of the final products ●Develop and build prototypes to test and measure form, fit and function ●Record and evaluate testing data, rapidly altering designs as necessary to bring them to performance and efficiency standards ●Maintain document revision control at all times ●Collaborate with Procurement and Finance for component cost estimates and costing of the final product ●Arrange and conduct regular project update meetings with the Engineering Manager ●Interact with Engineering, Production and suppliers to understand difficulties experienced during manufacturing ●Compliance with the Quality Management System ●Compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental policies ●Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering ●Min. 5 years experience in electronic design, preferably high-frequency signal processing PCBA ●Primary skills: PCB schematic design & layout for high frequency circuitry ●Secondary skills: Embedded firmware development with Atmel microcontrollers (ATSAMD51 family), using C, C++; ●In-depth knowledge of Eagle CAD, Fusion 360 and/or other electrical and mechanical CAD software ●Experience in aerospace or other standards and process driven industries, preferably ISO9001 & AS9145; ●Competitive Base Salary Performance Bonus
