We are recruiting for an Electronics technician to join our dynamic team. As an Electronics Technician, person will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of all plant equipment in all manufacturing sections & Services section of the plant. Additionally, Senior technician is responsible for providing permanent solutions to repetitive problems by modification to the machine by using standard Engineering practices. Improve equipment reliability by incrasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the the mean time to repair (MTTR). Employee will also promote safety and housekeeping throughout the facility. Responsibilities and essential job function includes but are not limited to the following: Perform Day to day critical electronics maintenance activities for manufacturing facility and plant utility supply (Boilers/compressors/chillers) section. Support the shift technicians and electricians on day to day maintenance / fault finding / repairing activities. Responsible for B/D Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Replacement, Repair of all the electronics parts used in the equipment for manufacturing process. Investigate equipment abnormality occurring after hours and perform permanent fix. Attend the equipment breakdown with no supervision and report to production supervisor on a regular basis. Detailed and clear reporting on each breakdowns and repairs to the production supervisor and line manager. Troubleshoot all the electronic & instrumentation controls. (All equipment installed inside the control cabinet including PLC, AC/DC VFDs, Relays, Power supplies, Contactors, communication devices etc.) Basic troubleshooting and repairing of electronics circuit board. Preparation of Daily, weekly and Monthly check lists for the electronics components used in the manufacturing facilities to maintain the healthiness of the equipment. Responsible for regular software backups of electronic equipment like PLC, HMI, Drives, computerised control equipment used on manufacturing equipment. Responsible for identifying the latest software & hardware tools required for various equipment. (PLC, VFD & HMI programming software, specialized software for specialized electronic equipment, various communication devices and cables). Work with the external/local/overseas automation or OEM suppliers in case of new equipment installation, critical repair or upgrade activities on the existing equipment. Calibration of the instruments which are used on the equipment as measurement devices to control the process parameters. (Example, Cameras, process sensors, gauges, display devices etc.) Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation Handle the upgrade projects for the equipment. These projects could be small panel upgrade, Electronics upgrade, PLC programming small design and changes, Rewrite the program routines within a specific period limit. Liaise with client departments and other engineering and production colleagues Drive 5S/Good Housekeeping in the workshop and at the equipment. Minimum: National Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering. Minimum 2-3 years' handson experience with automation, electronics engineering & maintenance. Exposure in high-volume manufacturing environment, preferrably in the tyre industry. Basic and Intermediate training on Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & VFD systems. Knowledge: In depth knowledge of configuration and programming of Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi automation components (PLC, VFD, HMI, SCADA). In depth working knowledge of industrial communication network protocols like Ethernet, Serial communication, controlnet, Profinet etc. Application knowledge of AC & DC variable speed drives. Preferrably Allen-Bradley/Mitsubishi AC VFD and Parker/ControlTechnique/Naidec DC Drives. Design knowledge of PLC & VFD control panels will be an added advantage. Troubleshooting of AC/DC Motors, Relays, Contactors, various digital and analog sensors, Instrumentation devices. Root cause analysis techniques.
