ELEVATOR TECHNICIAN REQUIRED - Hillcrest
We are looking for a responsible Elevator Technician required to service, maintain, execute standby duties and do elevator repairs when needed. The job will be a permananent position. The technician will have their own storeroom to stay in incase working hours become extended due to emergencies. 1.) Duties- Repair, maintain and service lifts (passenger and goods) using hand and power tools, testing devices such as; test lamps, ammeters and voltmeters.- Inspect doors, operating panels, control systems, cables, rollers, and guide rails, making the necessary adjustments as required and replacing any malfunctioning parts.- Maintain and adjust safety controls, counterweights, door mechanisms, and components such as valves, ratchets, seals and brake linings.- Check that safety regulations and building codes are met and complete service reports verifying condition of lift and conformance to standards.- Locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, belts, relays, switches, signal and control systems using test equipment.- Willing to work planned overtime and after hours standby schedule at any time of the day and night.- Submit time sheets based on the execution of repairs or emergency replacement parts2.) License/Certification:- Grade 12- Lift Mechanic Trade Test Certificate (Required) 3.)
