Employee Relations Generalist / Recruiter - Johannesburg
Responsibilities:
Handle all blue-collar recruitment (end to end) including apprentice and student trainees.
Act as a first point of contact for all employee queries at the workshop level.
Provide support and guidance on employee benefits issues e.g. medical aid, pension etc.
Handle minor disciplinary matters at the workshop.
Apply the disciplinary code and provide IR support to supervisors and foreman at the workshop.
Provide support on disciplinary and grievance procedures at the shopfloor.
Submit the employment equity report to the department of labour.
Participate in the employment equity committee function as a member.
Record the minutes during the EE committee meetings.
Provide support during compliance audit performed by statutory bodies such as the department of labour and the MEIBC.
Qualification and Experience:
National Diploma in HR or equivalent.
3-5 years Industry experience
(2 years recruitment experience and at least 1-year general HR administration)
Understanding of payroll processes
Previous experience with MEIBC and Main agreement.
Ability to work with trade unions.
Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA Skills Development Act.
