A Degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resource Management · Postgraduate Degree in Employee Relations or Labour Law is advantageous · Certificate/Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution is advantageous · Registration with a Professional body is advantageous (SASLAW) · Valid Drivers License Six (6) years' solid experience as an ER Specialist / ER Advisor within the mining environment · Computer literacy MS Office & SAP HR · Knowledge and understanding of the relevant acts and bodies (e.g. Labour Relations Act; BCEA; EEA; Disciplinary procedures; trade union consultation; Mine Health and Safety Act) · Knowledge of CCMA/Bargaining processes · Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills · Ability to function independently and under pressure · Knowledge of contemporary industrial relations dynamics, case law, labour legislation, trends and trade union matters · Experience of working within Unionised environments within the Mining Industry preferable Employment Relations (ER) Strategy - Manage processes involved in implementation of the employee relations strategy · Monitors and reports on specific ER outcomes and overall trends that impact on the ER strategy and the business decisions · Monitor labour relations climate and identify risks and strategies to mitigate the risk · Provide advice on all labour related matters and represent the company at relevant forums, e.g., CCMA, Labour Court · Ensure that information on the ER systems is correct and conform to Eland mine policies by regularly auditing usage and application · Enhance the well-being of employee relations within the operation · Relationships - Managing the processes involved in supporting formal trade union relationships · Grievances and conflict - Manage processes to keep employees and managers advised of grievance handling procedures · Disciplinary cases - Manage disciplinary processes to ensure a speedy resolution · Monitors and advises to provide site capability and deliver processes to effectively implement all ER/IR policies and processes · Control discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding Industrial Relations · Restructuring - Ensures that agreements around restructuring are correctly recorded and implemented · Maintains effective working relationships with other departments, internal and external agencies · Facilitate compliance on all labour relations acts, legislation, and processes Apply Now
