Employee Relations Officer - Gauteng, Pretoria - Pretoria

PURPOSE To provide support in the implementation of employee/ employer relations activities in the department. This is a twelve-month contract. KEY AREAS Grievance Management Dispute Management Misconduct Management Administration Support COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Act and Regulation. Knowledge and understanding of departmental policies and procedures. Good understanding and knowledge of Labour Laws (LRA, BCEA, EEA and other labour related legislations) and Ethics issues. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulation. Understanding of Confidential and Security Clearance prescripts. SKILLS: Communication (verbal and written) skills. Planning and organising skills Financial Management. Negotiation skills. Basic research and analytic skills. Change management skills. Negotiation skills. Initiating skills. Service delivery orientated skills. Batho Pele skills. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in teams. Be able to liaise with different stakeholders at different levels. Team player. Proactive and innovative. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 3 years qualification (NQF level 6) in Labour Relations / Labour Law/ Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development / Industrial Psychology / Industrial Relations or relevant qualification.
