Sales and Marketing Representative About the job Company DescriptionHammersdale Knitting Company (Pty) Ltd is a local supplier of finished apparel fabrics in Durban. The company strategically sources cotton, manufactures, and finishes fabric to meet specific requirements. They continuously invest in developing new fabric compositions and pride themselves on supplying high-quality products at a competitive price to major players in the local retail market. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales and Marketing Representative. The Sales and Marketing Representative will be responsible for day-to-day sales and marketing tasks, including communicating with customers, providing excellent customer service, and conducting sales training. They will also visit clients weekly and ensure the planners below them are successfully coordinating any of our customers’ requirements. Qualifications Sales & Marketing Skills Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing Ability to create and implement effective sales strategies Proficiency in using sales and marketing software Ability to communicate professionally and present the products to our clientele. Previous textile experience in circular knitted products such as Single Jersey, Lycras, Lacoste, Pique Knit, Fleeces and Interlocks would be advantageous. Communication and Customer Service Skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service orientation Training Skills Experience in sales training and development Ability to convey complex information in an easy-to-understand mannerAdditional Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field would be advantageous but is not a stern requirement Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of the textile industry is a plus We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
