Purpose To collaborate with project managers in coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final phases and ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer's needs. Main Responsibilities (not limited to): •Compile all technical specifications accurately, develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, provide guidance to business owners and sponsor of the projects. •Compile project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements performance standards and prepare cost estimates. •Devise projects implementation strategies, soliciting involvement and participation of suppliers, other team members and business as may be appropriate. •Manage overall resource requirements for projects, tracking allocation and prioritisation. •Conduct analysis regarding cost, time and impact on projects, evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within a schedule. •Establish controls and manage effective change, test and quality mechanisms necessary to ensure project success and to mitigate possible project breaches, issues, risks and challenges. •Manage third party contractors, identify engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented. •Prepare projects financial and procurement documentation in collaboration with business owners. •Ensure a safe working environment, practices and compliance with OHS Act and all associated regulations including General Machinery regulations and Construction regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. •Facilitate project team meetings and hold regular status meetings with project stakeholders, including project sponsors •Collaborate with project managers to coordinate Manufacturing/ Facilities projects pipeline management and roadmap, with due consideration to SARB collaboration roadmap. The Preferred Candidate is likely to have: •BEng or BSc in Engineering •Project Management qualification. •5 – 8 years' experience in engineering projects. •Advantageous if registered with SACPCMP Knowledge and Skills: •MS Office Suite packages •Health, Safety and Environment regulations •Project management •Costing •Resource Management •Stakeholder management •Risk Management Internal applicants should apply on the SABN careers portal on the intranet by uploading detailed CV's and copies of qualifications.
