We are in search of a seasoned Engineering Manager to spearhead our engineering operations. The ideal candidate will possess a Chemical Engineering qualification coupled with a minimum of 7 years' experience in leadership roles within the manufacturing, coatings, or ink industries, with a strong focus on industrial optimization. This exciting opportunity is based in the vibrant city of Cape Town. Requirements: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Bring a minimum of 7 years of distinguished experience in engineering leadership roles within manufacturing environments, showcasing your mastery in industrial engineering, process optimization, and machine design. Demonstrate proficiency in project management, budget oversight, and resource allocation. Possess a foundational understanding of chemistry, enabling seamless collaboration with our chemists and researchers. Exhibit exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, consistently delivering innovative solutions. Showcase strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, honed over your career Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapting seamlessly to evolving challenges and opportunities. Duties: Apply advanced engineering principles to meticulously analyze and enhance our manufacturing processes, achieving waste reduction and efficiency gains. Identify and harness opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement across the entire ink manufacturing lifecycle. Lead initiatives to modify and maintain our production machinery and equipment, ensuring they consistently meet performance and safety standards. Establish and uphold quality control standards, guaranteeing the consistent delivery of high-quality ink products. Manage a team of engineers, providing them with valuable guidance, support, and training as needed. Efficiently manage the engineering department budget, allocating resources judiciously to achieve departmental and company objectives. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards across all engineering activities. Proficiently communicate engineering strategies, progress, and challenges to cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with operations, production, and management.
