Job Advert Summary Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is urgently looking for Enrolled Nurses (EN) with proven THEATRE experience. This is a permanent opportunity at a private hospital in Bellville in Cape Town Northern Suburbs. BENEFITS: Thirteenth cheque Pension fund membership and subsidy from the company Medical aid membership and subsidy from the company Annual nursing bonus starting from month 18 after start date Specialised unit allowance upon completion of probation period Complimentary indemnity cover Uniform allowance Minimum Requirements Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse At least 1-year working experience in a Theatre environment is essential For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific speciality area Sound knowledge of Scientific Nursing Process, nursing activities and procedures as per Scope of Practice Ability to identify, prevent and report medico-legal risks and adverse events within the unit Basic knowledge of stock control principles Displays a team approach by participating actively and cooperatively with team members. Computer literate (Microsoft Office) Relevant nursing legislation Nursing care plan skills Duties and Responsibilities MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
